Problem :

Campaign managers found it difficult to understand how their referral programmes were performing. Most data lived in static Excel files, making it hard to track progress or compare campaigns over time.

Key insights like conversions, rewards, or fund usage were buried in raw data, leaving managers unsure where to focus or how to improve results.

Results :

45% faster access to campaign insights.
30% drop in support requests for data exports.
25% higher engagement with in-app reporting.

Process :

Audited the Reporting Dashboard and Operational Reports to see how managers used them and where they struggled. I grouped insights with affinity diagramming to find patterns and used a prioritisation matrix to decide what to fix first. The focus was on making key data easier to find and understand. I then redesigned the experience using our design system, creating clear, reusable components that improved consistency and readability across all reports.

The new Reporting Dashboard helps managers see how their campaigns are performing at a glance. They can track trends over time, check conversion rates and compare results with industry benchmarks. It also shows how funds are used, which rewards are most popular and who the top referrers are. Managers can now compare multiple campaigns in one view.

Email reportings reveal delivery, open, and click rates making it easier to see what’s working.

The Operational Reports were also redesigned with quick previews, so managers can review data like customer sign-ups, friend activity, vouchers and opt-outs before downloading full reports.
